This kit includes everything you need to make a coptic book including a stunning 50s retro decorative paper in cream with a blue and pink.
You will also find all the tools you need in the kit including a beach pebble which can be used as a weight to hold down the sections when sewing.
The format of the book is approx. 10cm x 14.8cm and it has 7 section which gives it a nice chunky thickness of 1.8cm. The project should take about 2 hours to complete resulting in a beautiful note book handmade by yourself.
Not suitable for children under 14 years of age due to sharp objects in the kit (scissors and needles).

I just finished my (first) hand-bound book, and it is just lovely! The kit is so well thought through, and has everything you need, including neat little grace notes like scrap paper to make sure you don’t get glue on your table, and a beautiful river stone tool, too! The process rewards taking your time, and is strangely meditative. Give it a go!
