Colonsay Wool Growers is a yarn brand with real provenance.  Fleeces and dye plants grow side by side on the windswept hills of the farm, resulting in a defined palette of colours, reflective of our Hebridean landscape.

We produce a range of yarns, knitting kits and knitted accessories.  All using yarn from our own sheep growing on the Hedridean Island of Colonsay.  Yarns are also plant dyed with plants growing freely on the farmland.
The farm has been in the family for several generation and is farmed in a nature friendly manner, with 450 ewes and 35 beef cows.  The wool from the sheep is spun into yarn and used to make a range of high quality, fully traceable products
